We love living and working in the same neighborhood, knowing our customers by name, and being able to run a business the way we want to--not the way some corporation tells us to. Sometime this means knowing a certain customer likes a certain wine, and stocking a few bottles in basement--even though we don't normally carry it. Sometimes it means making personal deliveries for our customers who have trouble being mobile. And sometimes it means opening a bottle to sample just because someone was curious. It means knowing our mail carrier (and that she likes Rieslings), keeping a supply of both suckers and dog treats for our non-imbibing customers, and being able to better appreciate the efforts of other local business owners. We love our shop ... and hope others do too.The Wine Thief is all about providing great wine at budget-friendly prices. Found in sometimes sunny, sometimes snowy St. Paul, we concentrate on unique, quality wines from around the world -- all for under $20.With a focus on smaller vineyards and family wineries, we are happy to help you learn about and enjoy wine, whatever your palate, whatever your knowledge, whatever your budget. Beyond the grape, the Wine Thief also specialize in Belgian and other single-bottled ales, with one of the larger selections in the state.
