So What's New @ The Chocolate Spoon is a spin off business of the Chocolate Spoon Cafe. It is a collaborative venture of women in business. Each entrepreneur maintains their identity, but work their businesses together in one location. The collaborative builds on the concept of sharing ideas, knowledge, clientele, networks, marketing, fixed costs and administration to gain economies in a tough retail market. It's foundation is the coffee shop/cafe built from the Chocolate Spoon Cafe days that Nancy & Jeff Poferl began in February of 2004. They eventually combined the retail merchandise and art of Uno Carina Tre, the spin off business of Nancy Poferl & her friend Gianna Ianos and added complimentary and unique business services and retail operations from other new or existing business owners. The mentoring and foundation of So What's New owners & partners, Nancy & Gianna help the new business entrepreneur hatch their eggs without all the major capital investment it might otherwise take to go it alone.
